My approach to classical music concert photography

I have been photographing classical musicians and providing concert photography for 25 years. My unique approach comes from a love of music and a passion for capturing the essence of a performance in a still photograph. I have worked at the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Barbican Hall, Cadogan Hall, Wigmore Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. One feature of my work has been both rehearsal and performance coverage of the BBC Proms.

In 2007 I was commissioned by the BBC Proms to photograph the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela with their conductor Gustavo Dudamel. The photos were published all around the world including El Pais in Spain.
