With over 30 years of experience as a classical music photographer in London, I bring a deep love of music and a passion for capturing the magic of live performances in every shot. My work goes beyond simply documenting events—it’s about preserving the essence of a performance, freezing fleeting moments into timeless images. Whether it’s a grand symphony or an intimate recital, the aim is always to tell the story of the musicians and their music through each frame.

Iconic Venues and Prestigious Projects

My journey has taken me to many of London’s most iconic concert venues, including the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Barbican Hall, Cadogan Hall, Wigmore Hall, and the Royal Albert Hall. These historic spaces offer visual richness and an atmosphere that enhances each image. In addition to these venues, I’ve had the honour of photographing the BBC Proms—capturing both rehearsals and live performances during this prestigious celebration of classical music.

Capturing Global Moments in Classical Performance

One particularly memorable moment came in 2007, when the BBC Proms commissioned me to photograph the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela, led by conductor Gustavo Dudamel. The resulting images were later published internationally, including in El País, and helped showcase the energy and passion of the orchestra to audiences around the world. That assignment was a powerful experience and deepened my commitment to this unique art form.

Portrait Photography for Musicians and Performers

In addition to live concert work, I specialise in portrait photography for musicians, composers, and performers. These sessions can include headshots, promotional imagery, or behind-the-scenes moments. The process is collaborative and relaxed, with every shoot tailored to the artist’s personality and goals. My services also extend to dancers and artists in other genres, ensuring a broad, adaptable approach to creative photography.
